Brand new, just fully charged, and now display won't go away...

I just bought this 2GB Fuze Sansa player. I hooked it up to the computer to charge. I stuck another 2GB MicroSD digital media card into the slot. Turned on my Winamp player (I used this player to load songs onto my old Sansa 2GB player) then this message appears on the display, “Refreshing your media”.  It will not go away. I shut off the unit by pushing down on the hold switch, and still nothing.

I disconnected the unit from computer,removed the microSD card,and hoping for a miracle. It is fully charged,but I can’t do anything about it. Thanks for any help!

The Sansa should be turned OFF when installing the µSD card.  With the Sansa unplugged, remove the card and hold the power switch in the on position for 20 seconds to reset the device.

Then try powering up the Sansa normally.

If all is well, then power the Sansa off, and mount the µSD card.  Mounting the card with the power on can subject the wee device to transient connections, possible corrupting the flow of data.
