Brand new Sansa Fuze

I’m new to these players, and need some help;

  1. When I insert the mini-cd, all I get is a display/link to SanDisk.

Should there have been any software for my computer ?

  1. An insert in the package warns;

    "Go to the BestBuy Music store, and register

     in order to activqate aall the features on your SanDiskSansa."

     All I want to do is copy MP3’s from my computer

     to the SansaFuze…  I’m somewhat confused.

You don’t need the mini-CD, and you don’t need the Best Buy Music store.

All you need is the music to put on the Fuze and you’re all set.:wink:

Nothing on the CD is required to listen to music on your Fuze. It only contains Rhapsody software (a subscription music service), Sansa Media Converter, and Sansa Firmware Updater. The version of SMC on the disk is probably out of date, and you can download the current version. There’s a link on the SMC board on this site. SMC is for converting videos and pictures to a format compatible with the Fuze, but even the newest version has problems. The firmware updater is unnecessary, as it’s almost as simple to do it manually. Check the “Sansa Fuze Firmware Update” topic on this board for instructions.

For using your own MP3s, you can ‘sync’ them with programs like Windows Media Player, or you can simply drag-and-drop.
