Best sound quality (Fuze / Clip / Clip+)

Hi folks,

I want to buy a new mp3 player for my Um1 earphone but I don’t know which one has got best sound quality. In the internet, I searched a lot of reviews about these mp3 players.

For instance;

Sound Quality:6

http://www.trustedreviews.com/mp3/review/2007/12/12/SanDisk-Sansa-Clip-1GB-/p1

Sound Quality:7

I am gonna listen to rap/hip hop tracks. So EQ must be good.

Please tell me your thoughts.

Thanks

Fuze and Clip sound the same, which is quite good if you have well-balanced headphones (don’t use EQ… the custom EQ doesn’t work well). I haven’t had the chance to hear a Clip+, but I imagine it sounds about the same as the other two.

The sound quality on the Fuze, Clip, and Clip+ is great, however  the equilizer will make the sound worse and should be avoided.

Thanks ,but in some of Turkish pc forum, some users who listen both of them, say that clip is better.

I am confused.

I had them both at the same time, and they sounded the same to me. Both original Clip and Fuze run off the same hardware sound chip. I think some of those users in that forum might be suffering from placebo effect.

Thanks a lot.

There are many factors that you cannot account for when looking at a user based forum (like this one). Things from bit rate of the audio files, headphones, ambient noise in the room, testing method, even time of day has an effect on what you hear when you compare things like this. I will say that I found the headphones that came with the clip to be higher quality and better sounding but when I plugged them into the Fuze they sounded the same. Either player will sound fantastic its just a matter of getting yourself a good set of headphones (Most recommend something other than what comes with either player), and getting your music into a format that gives you the best results for your needs.

Thanks, I am writing quickly because I’m gonna buy a new one, fuze or clip =) I think today

I know what you mean but there must be a real result.

Can we find any document which shows us that this mp3 player has got better sound quality ?

What do you suggest for best sound quality ? Fuze / Clip ?

I own and regularly listen to both. And The difference in quality is negligible (you cant tell a difference). The reality is that the technology that goes into these players,  is so advanced that the quality is awesome regardless of player. If it were me making this decision today it would come down to which player meets my needs best, in terms of size and functionality. Assuming you will get a third party set of headphones then I would say either player is a wonderful investment.

My Fuze is my everyday player (It goes with me everywhere), and my clip goes with me when I need it to be hidden or I have to dress up or go to meetings (dont ask why I listen to my player in meetings its complicated). I love them both

Ok I got it.

I am gonna buy a Fuze

Thanks
