Best Sansa Fuze case?

I want the screen to be protected though. I don’t want to drop it and shatter the LCD screen.

The only Drawback I could see, I am willing to deal with cutting up the adhesive ones that they make for other players.

Unless you have that hard plastic, the screen can still break. I know someone who got a 120 gb zune or whatever for Christmas and already broke the screen.

Ive decided to take my chances… I have had  Sansa Connects, the first one Froze and was ruined, the Second one got dropped on ceramic tile the player shatterd but the screen was fine, and the Connect I have now, has been dropped a few times and I have no Screen Issues. I have yet to drop my fuze but I seem to have decent luck.

They have sandisk models availible…

but I chose one os these instead and plan to cut them up several times!

Choose the larger ones for the best deal and then cut them to fit as you like for either full face or just screens!

about time the price is down for these shields.

BTW if you are close to an Ocean State Job Lot store you can buy the shields by Targus. 5 to a pak. each large enough for 2 screen applications (ie 10 shields aftert cutting).

Cost is $1.59, or 16 CENTS per shield.

Shields are stupid. I probably won’t get it scratched ever. I’m more prone to dropping it if anything.

I used the code and paid like 6.50 with shipping.

Here are a few pics of my 4GB Fuze in its new polycarbonate plastic case ($4 on eBay). It’s a smoke colored case, but may be kind of hard to make out in these pics.

I’ve found this case to be better than my other one (compare to my earlier pics), as this one allows for better access to the power switch, microSD slot, and especially the sync port. The cable actually fits all of the way in this time!

Also shown are my JVC Air Cushions and their inexpensive carrying case.

mmkk so i used 2 have a e200, but uh, i kinda put a big crack through the middle of the screen, by acident! and then months l8r it just stopped working. anyway i got the fuze for christmas and would like to prevent any future screen craking i might cause, so does anyone recomend any cases? something that will protect the screen from my damage prone hands.

Go on Amazon. Search Sansa Fuze accessories, there is a hard case you may want to look at. The silicone one is the most popular (based on what I have read on here) but that does not protect the screen.

The clear hard plastic cases are like 5 bucks + free shipping on E-Bay. At least they were when I got one a few months ago. There are 2 problems with it though . . . once it’s on, you don’t want to have to be taking it off very often, or you could break off the little tabs that hold the 2 pieces (front & back) of casing together. And believe me, it’s not easy getting it apart. They fit together very snug.

#2 - Because it’s a clear hard plastic case, it’s rather thick which is excellent for protection, but terrible in trying to insert and especially remove the uSD card if you use one. It’s virtually impossible to get your fingernail in there far enough to push it till it clicks and releases it and then the spring doesn’t push it out far enough to grab it. I ended up using hemostats & needle-nose pliers and even they were too thick to get into the case opening for the card slot. I ended up using the point of a knife blade on each of the edges of the card to wriggle it out a bit further so that I could pinch it with my fingernails. Definitely qualifies as a ROYAL PITA!

This is probably a problem with the silicone cases/skins too, but at least you can trim or whittle the opening a little larger with an exacto knife to make it a bit easier. The silicone ones are rubbery too, so they’ll bounce on impact. If I were to use one of these, I’d also get a screen protector to guard against scratches on the screen.

Looks good.  Too bad I’m all out of Euros.

Just wondering if you liked that case? http://www.bargaincell.com/product_44457_3413.html

This is the plastic case I got for my Fuze:

The power switch, microSD card, and sync port access points are all much bigger and and very easy to get to; much more so than the last Crystal Clear Case I got.  The sync cable fits securely and snugly into the port on my Fuze now, as if it’s not even in a case at all.

As for taking the case off, I haven’t tried it yet, but yes, it’s probably difficult to do.  Use a small flathead screwdriver, carefully pry it apart at the bottom edges, and that should work.  Or, you could just leave it on.

All the best.

can anybody tell me, where i can buy the

SanDisk HandStands Travel Kit for Sansa Fuze

in europe - or even better in germany? i am looking for a leather case (an open - not a closed one where you can not use the player) EVERYWHERE - but i did not found one in any shop… i do not want to use such a silicon case - i do not like them :frowning:

in us stores you find it where ever you look - but on the one hand there is no shipping to europe - or on the other hand the shipping doubles the price…

i need help!

I would recommend that you do a internet search maybe you may find what your looking for. Try Ebay or Amazon.

E-Bay is fairly global and Amazon has a UK division.

HulkSmashNow, thanks for posting the photos of your smoked case, it looks like a very tight fit which is good as it maintains the player’s small footprint. I think I’m going for the clear/transparent case as I have a black Fuze, also the smoked case will make my screen dimmer.

i wrote an email to handstands - maybe they can give me the name of an european shop - but i would be suprised getting an answer!
