As a follow up, I’ve had absolutely no problems using only DRM protected tracks with this device. Even with all the comments and weird stuff stripped from the mp3 tags it doesn’t seem to like my imported files, though I’m thinking that it’s only downloaded files. I speculate that my ripped tracks are fine. Oh well, at least I can use it for something.
