i hope that this is clearer.

  1. i record professional stuff - lectures mostly

  2. once i have connected my mp3 to the computer, i download the files to the computer and can playback easily on the

     computer.

3.  the file names however, remain on the mp

  1.  yet i can not replay them via the mp - with earphones or on the computer.

  2. a file that was not downloaded i cannot replay on the mp unless i transfer it  to the computer and then again back from the 

    computer as a music file - not as a voice file.

it didnt use to be like that.i use d tobe able to listen dierectly with the earphones

any ideas?
