"No music found" when using with USB in new vehicle

I have a new car with a USB port.  I used my Sansa Clip with my prior auto with no problem.  However, when I plug into the USB port on the new vehicle, it recognizes the device (in fact, “Sansa Clip” shows up on the nav screen), but it indicates “no music found”.  Anybody run into this before or have any solutions?

Maybe try using a 16 gb Flash Drive in your USB port.

Works amazing in my car.  (May need to curate your ID3 tags.)

I would consult the owner’s manual (sometimes a separate one) for the sound system in your new car.
