and dryer. No response when i push the power button. Anything I can do before throwing it away? Thanks.
Possible that it hasn’t dried out completely. You might leave the player in a warm place a few days (3-4) and then try again.
If it still won’t start, you might try plugging the player in to a power source and see if it will start up. If it will, it is likely that one of the leads to the battery has become detached. You could open the player up carefully and then re-attach the lead by re-soldering it or using conductive glue.
