It’s definitely not just going dark like it’s supposed to, but updating the firmware seemed to work! Well at least plugging it into the updater seemed to turn the screen back on and then it worked fine for the whole night and into this morning before it started acting up again, but I just plugged it back in and it started working again. So if I have to do that every 8 hours or so it’s not really a big deal for me, still nice to have it working again at all. So thank you very much for the advice!
