Firstly, Sansa warranty is 1 year for US and 2 years for Europe, so don’t worry if you miss your seller terms, just contact them and ask for RMA.

As to reviving it — try holding the power button for 20-30 sec while holding the Home button. If this doesn’t work — exchange it.
