Sandisk engineers: Please fix the shuffle feature on the Clip+

Are track numbers required while in shuffle mode for the Clip+ to include them? Or, are songs without track numbers ignored, never to be played unless manually chosen? I tried searching for this answer but I can’t find a definitive yes or no answer. Thanks.
