Paranoid about Clip+ volume -- help?

I was listening to some music and I set my Clip+ on the washroom counter. There was just a droplet of water on the control pad of my Clip+ from washing my hands, but I cleaned it off. I don’t know if I’m being paranoid or not, but I’m wondering if a small water droplet on the control pad can affect the sound volume of the Clip.

I’m thinking maybe it could’ve damaged some circuity and affected the volume that way? That’s probably unlikely, I assume the control pad is seperated from the circuity by a few layers, but still…

Am I just being paranoid?

Have you NOTICED a change in volume since the water got on it?

It sounds pretty much the same. Which is why I asked if I was paranoid…lol

Water doesn’t generally damage low voltage electronics unless you leave it on long enough to corrode them.

If you do, the volume will go from full to completely zero.  You won’t be able to reduce it without completely destroying the player.

You mean, apart from shorting the device out?
