06-16-2011 11:03 AM I've had my 2GB Clip for a couple years & never had many problems but recently it has started taking a very long time turning on, selecting, & switching songs, as well as not syncing with the computer. I finally got it to sync today after doing a Google search on syncing problems, but Media Player showed that there were no files on it except for a few voice recordings, even though in the corner where it shows how much space is left, it showed that it was almost full. So I disconnected it, turned it on & tried to play songs, & to my horror, even though it's now working at normal speed, it says EMPTY. I turn it off, turn it back on, & it's back to being delayed with every function & it shows that I have my 317 songs again, but the song list is a list of 317 blanks & there's no content when I try to play them.... ???????????
Not only this but my laptop recently died so there goes all the backup of the music I have/had on the Clip! At the very least, if I can't fix my Clip, I just want to be able to copy all my music onto my desktop from my Clip so if I end up buying a new Clip I at least won't lose all my music! This is YEARS of accumulated music people... Re: Ok many problems.Options

Now back up that music on your laptop somewhere else, like on a memory card, CD, or external hard drive. Re: Ok many problems.Options
06-16-2011 10:28 PM Ok more bad news .__. It continued to be fine all day, played it in my car for a few hours, then all of a sudden it shut off when I switched a song in the car & when I turned it back on it got to the Sansa symbol that appears at first, & I haven't been able to get it past this point no matter what I do, & the computer doesn't recognize it =L Re: Ok many problems.Options

06-17-2011 05:42 PM - edited 06-17-2011 05:43 PM Glad to see it worked out for you. You might consider looking into Amazon Cloud (google it). They let you backup 5-GB of music to their servers, no charge. It's real easy too. Re: Ok many problems.Options
06-19-2011 02:59 PM Tapeworm:: I can't, it won't go past the symbol at startup. Re: Ok many problems.Options
06-19-2011 05:26 PM I'll assume you have an original Clip, with the round wheel and blue ring. Reset the devive by holding the power slider in the ON position for about 20 seconds, release, then try again.
If you have the newer Clip+, press and hold the power button on top for 20 seconds.
In either case, once the device is live, transfer your music to the hard drive as a backup!
