I was reading a post of yours earlier but can’t find it again. I formatted my SanDisk Clip Sport using Ubuntu, using a type of format that didn’t say it was compatible with everything, and now I don’t understand how to drag the hex file into the root directory that I downloaded via your post to regain use. Did I delete the root directory? The San Disk does not show up in the “Computer” section of my computer, only if I open “Disks.” Please help! I’m not a computer person but am pretty good at following directions when I can find then 
I just want to be able to use the device again, which reads “file system error. restart or format to recovery.” Restarting does not solve anything. Thanks!
