Does the Clip+ or Zip support East Asian Languages?

Hi everyone,

I need a new MP3 player for the gym and the car and I can’t decide to get an Clip+ or Clip Zip. The only thing that is holding me back is that more than half of my songs are Chinese or Japanese so the device must be able to read the tags or else its pointless. Also which device would you guys recommend? I like the simplicity of the Clip+ but the colour screen on the Zip is nice. I prefer a smoother UI over anything, and most reviews have said the UI on the Zip is buggy? Although my main concern is the language support. If it doesn’t read the tags, I’ll probably have to get an iPod. :confounded:

Thanks in advance,
Anthony.

I don’t have either players, but if you want to guarantee your player supports these languages, I might consider installing ROCKBOX, a free, open-source firmware alternative. It supports many languages, and can be used alongside the default Sansa firmware. Installation and uninstallation are both fairly simple.

Also, both the Clip+ and the Clip Zip are supported by Rockbox.

I’ve done some research too, I still can’t find anything that supports Japanese.
