Yes, it is the same deal.  GearXS  is one I have bought from before and I like that the refurb from them comes in

an official SanDisk  refurb box.  I bought the $20 red one from Woot a while back and it came in a bubble bag.

No real problems so far .

As SanDisk does not do any refurbishing, I doubt this.
