Clip+ 4g clip headphones jack issue (broken)

I have recently purchased a 4gig clip+ on May 6 and I love it!!

Yesterday for some reason I have started to experience problems with the left audio channel.

I will be going to the store I bought it to change it.

This being said is this a known issue? Was it just bad luck on my part?

Any tips on protecting the jack? I have seen the Replug product but is there anything else?

Thanks in advance !!

Nothing beats common sense and care.

Without knowing your circumstances, this can happen when the headphone plug gets yanked, especially repeatedly.

Radio Shack sells a right angle plug you could use (but it adds some bulk).  There also is out there a plug that you add to your headphone plug, that automatically detaches if it gets yanked.  It’s called the Replug.  http://www.amazon.com/Replug-Breakaway-3-5Mm-Audio-Adapter/dp/B0013KXCMO  And it’s funny but, the top customer reviewer on the Replug in the link says that he bought the Replug exactly for the issue posted here, on Clip players.

Thx guys for the info…

I have a right angle Neutrik plug on my Headphones. I have looked in the Replug and unfortunately I have found no one that delivers in Canada.

I will keep looking…

(My apologies–I totally had blanked on your referring to the Replug in your original post.  My bad!)
