Anyone have any suggestions?

Use MSC mode on the Clip+ with Linux systems. Not MTP and not Auto Defect.

MSC mode did the trick, the device is found and connected. But, the second partition shows up as not formatted. Is this a known bug? Running Ubuntu 10.4 on AMD64 running 32 bit. Where do I put audio files? Thanks! Ric

That’s probably the external memory card slot. You may be getting this message if you don’t have a memory card in it.

The Music folder I think would be an excellent choice. :stuck_out_tongue:
