Read files directly from SD card from iXpand mini

Hello!

I had iXpand mini (SDIX40) and I broke it accidently - my laptop has fallen with iXpand inside it and was completely bent so all electronics was damaged.

I put out the SD Card, put it into card reader, connected it to my PC, but could not read the data directly from the folder - it says that the disk is not formatted.

Is there any way I can restore the data on this SD card?

depending on what capacity device you have the file system could be FAT32 or exFAT. If the file system is exFAT ensure the OS you are using on the computer supports that file format. 

Also if the drive was being accessed when it was broken it could have damaged the card or the file system on the card. if that is the case formatting may be your only option. This will erase all data but as long as you do not do a full format you may be able to use data recovery software to recover the data.
