Multiple copies simultaneously to SanDisk Ultra II as Raid 0

W7-64

I'm just posting this as a Heads Up.... Not a Complaint, as I know I'm pushing the envelope....

I had many Folders on a Raid 0 drive being copied to a new Folder on same Raid 0 Drive...

The Raid 0 is 2x SanDisk Ultra II 480GB's.....

First copy took off with speeds as expected...

While first copy continued... Second folder copy started, but though first copy continued on at speed, Second copy was much slower, until first copy finished... and then the speed crept up somewhat, but never reached the speed of the first copy....

I have all the preformance options in  Device Manager enabled...

Interesting   !!????

Re: Multiple copies simultaneously to SanDisk Ultra II as Raid 0

Write buffer probably filled up on the Ultra II. The Ultra IIs have a DRAM cache - when this gets filled, it will be bottlenecked by the TLC flash speed.

That's my guess.
