I have two 480 GB Ultra II's that I cannot register because the system won't accept the serial numbers.
New drives...from Amazon...what gives?
The 240 Mb drive registered just fine.
And yes...I typed the number in correctly.

in that i would suggest contacting the sandisk support so they can add the registrations of the drives manually into the system

No registration is required to use the drive, but Seagate may require it for support or warranty fulfillment. If these don't concern you, format the drive to your preferred filesystem and use it like any storage drive.
