Meaning of SMART attributes?

Where can I find a description of the meanings of the SMART attributes? For example, SSD Toolkit shows that my Raw Read Error Rate has a Current Value of 105, a Threshold of 50, a Raw Value of 0, and a Status of Pass. I don't know how to interpret these results. It would seem that 105 is over the threshold of 50. But how can I get to 105 if the raw value is only 0? Doesn't make any sense to me.

I have a SanDisk SDSSDX240GG25, Firmware R211 running Windows 8.1.

Re: Meaning of SMART attributes?

SMART attributes are a little tricky. For current value higher is better. Raw value lower is better. As the Raw value counts up the current value counts down and when the current value meets the threshold the SMART this will trip the prefail (if that value is a life indicator)

Here are a few links that may help understand reading SMART values.

Re: Meaning of SMART attributes?

Thank you!

It looks like my 1-1/2 year old SSD still in pretty good shape:

05 Retired Block Count: Current Value = 100; Threshold = 3; Raw Value = 1
