SanDisk SSD PLUS 1000GB firmware for linux user

I recently bought a SanDisk SSD PLUS 1000GB off amazon, but only run linux at home, and have no access to a Windows machine to run Sandisk Dashboard, and it does not detect the SSD under Wine. I’ve posted the smartctl output below. It claims to be running firmware version UH4400RL, I dont know if this is the latest, but looking around, saw that someone had a 120GB drive running UE4500RL with a significant boost in speed. I dont want to flash a firmware for a different capacity, but cant find a firmware file posted for this model. If anyone could supply such a link, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi,  I have Sandisk SSD Plus 120gb and using it for 2.5 yrs no problem.  Also, I only use linux.   It’s good, one tip I was advised -  leave about 10% unallocated on SSD.  Also, setting up TRIM correctly might be important.  It’s pretty easy, just search the web.

I don’t think you should search for firmware update unless there is a problem, and only use update for your specific SSD.  Searching for performance boost is fun, but some people feel if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it.

Wine is sometimes tricky to setup from what I have read.  I don’t think that problem is related to drive firmware.  Many people use VM instead now to run windows programs on linux.

Good luck.
