I’m wondering whether there is known issues with these SSD’s they seem to keep dying randomly I’ve RMA’d them a few times, but they don’t seem to last long before it happens again.
One replacement lasted less than a month before needed to be RMA’d again.
I’ve just had another one die and no longer be detected by the bios making this the 5th in less than a year which seems ridiculous they don’t get heavy use as I don’t use my computer much and I have all my libraries and games on an HDD to avoid writes to the SSD.
Wow, that doesn’t sound very random. If I had 5 drives fail within a year I think I’d give up computers forever.
I am coming up on three yrs/12,000 hours on my one and only SSDPlus/120gb thanks for reminding me to do another S.M.A.R.T. test. It has been pretty much perfect the whole time though. I run tests about twice a year.
Do you have any more info to add about why the drives fail?
