Download Error 800c0006 while trying to install v2.5.1.0

Hi all,

I tried to install v2.5.1.0 to address the security vulnerability described in the links below, but the installer displays “Download Error 800c0006” and the installation fails (see attached).

Should users uninstall SanDisk SSD Dashboard until the 2.5.1.0 installer is fixed?

Users should definitely uninstall the SanDisk SSD Dashboard until the problem is resolved.

My installation problem has been escalated to a L3 support engineer. I will report back here once I have a fix in case it might help other users.

Pour moi aussi la v 2.5.1.0 pose problème :

(Exception de :HRESULT: 0x80030070 (STG_E_MEDIUMFULL)

SSD reconnu dans le bios uniquement.

Hi all,

The level 3 support tech suggested that I disable any firmware installed, but I think that may have been an error. I’m not sure that it’s possible to disable firmware or if any of the hardware in a system would work if I somehow found a way to disable the firmware.

The other thing he suggested was disabling any firewalls to see if the web installer would connect, but I didn’t have any luck with that either.

Until there’s an option to download a full/standalone installer, I would suggest uninstalling any version of the SanDisk SSD Dashboard and making sure that the Windows 10 TRIM function is enabled using the procedure detailed on https://www.windowscentral.com/how-ensure-trim-enabled-windows-10-speed-ssd-performance.

The SSD Dashboard is an optional install that is not required for the operation of the SSD. And, as the security advisories in the links I added to my earlier posts describe, having it running may introduce security vulnerabilities to your system.
