MP3 Player does not come on after firmware update

I recently downloaded the Sandisk firmware update software and completed the newest firmware update. While is was updating the firmware I  turned off the player before the firmware  was finished updating. It will not power up now nor can it reset. Anybody know what the solution is even if I have to send it in to be repaired, I have 2700 songs downloaded to it.

What happens when you plug it into your computer? Will it power up?

No, it will not.

You might try leaving the player alone for a day or 2 while trickle-charging connected to a power source, and then check.  It sometimes has worked.

Ok. I have it on a charger by itself.

Does anyone know who I have to send the unit to at Sandisk? I bought the unit while in prison 3 years ago and have downloaded 2700 songs to it, so it is valuable. I am relatively good with with computers  and devices. I sent the unit into Sandisk when I got out of prison 2 months ago and they deinstitutionalized it. It was working fine until this happened.

Probably easiest and best to telephone Customer Support, and walk through the issue with them–they can provide an address if and when you get there.  Typically, the warranty is 1 year in the U.S.–I don’t know if their work with the player earlier might affect and extend that.
