Regarding your first question:
- What I do is copy a bunch of folders onto the device, in the order I want to listen to them (eg 01 - Album, 02 - Album, 03 - Album, etc.). Using neither Folder or Music function, I cannot select the first album, and have it continue on through all of the albums in the order I specify.
When I know that I will always want to play a collection of albums in a continuous and specific linear order, I adjust the ID3 tags.
I give all the mp3 files the same album name and use 2-digit track numbers to identify my preferred sequence. I also add these 2-digit track numbers as prefixes to the filenames. All of these types of edits are convenient using the free software mp3tag.
