Clip Sport - Please fix the ability to play MONO encoded AAC (M4A files) in BOTH ears under Normal playback speed. It plays in BOTH ears just fine in FAST or SLOW speeds. I have too much of a library to recode everything to a larger file Stereo mode to MP3 just to play in both ears in Normal Speed.
Please advise! I have three Clip Sports, and all using the latest firmware.
Help - please fix.

Hey David, I remember reading your posts on this problem and I tried to make a few suggestions along the way.
Here is one more idea to think about.
In the good old days (?) I would buy a few cheap little audio adaptors like these from Radio Shack. Here is one example I clipped from Amazon. Take a look at the Answered Questions for this item.

Awesome... but a little awkward when clipped to my clothing while exercising, etc. But, if I could find a plastic ended cable extension (converter from mono to stereo - one channel to both ears) that did this same function, it would give me a longer cable plus provide the ability to play my m4a audio in normal speed.
I wish Sandisk would look at this, and fix the fact that mono actually does work outputting to both ears in High or Slow speed, and make the normal playback work the same way.
I'm looking for something similar to Amazon item number 4330106031 with a flexible cable, maybe even 10" long that did the mono to stereo for 3.5mm. I'd get it in a minute!

The mono to stereo adapter from Amazon works well! It's a pretty small adapter, that converts a mono encoded MP3 file (such as an audiobook coded mono) instead of just playing in one ear (left earbud) it plays in BOTH ears (same channel). So this is just the way it should play mono files, until Sandisk fixes this (Not gonna happen). It's $3.74 and if you have Prime, you can get it in 2 days.
It is very light and appears to be well built, except of course that it sticks out a bit. It's really not too bad, considering you don't have to recode all your m4a files!
This is the link on Amazon if you want to order. Also pic attached of what it looks like on the SanDisk Clip Sport:
