Any way to recover critical system files?

I started wiping the drive of my SanDisk Clip Sport and quickly realized I hadn’t selected free space only. I stopped it at once but now the player won’t start and doesn’t open a window in Explorer when I plug it in. All it will do is charge. I’m certain I deleted some critical files. Is there any way to fix this? Don’t ask me why I was wiping the drive, I know it was a monumentally stupd thing to do.
