Sport Clip Go in 2016 Honda Civic

Even though my Sport Clip Go is fully charged and upgraded to V 1.04, my 2016 Honda Civic does no recognize the unit at all and the USB screen shows “no data”.  As soon as the unit is plugged in, it starts to charge, even though it is fully charged.  If I unplug is, I can get to an Audible book but once it is plugged again, the unit reverts to charging.  While we’re at it, where can I get a usefully long USB2.0 power cord?  So far, only the ridiculously short cord that came with the unit works with the Sport Clip Go.

I don’t think it works like that. You want a player that has OTG (On-The-Go) capabilities like an android phone, and Sandisk players do not have that. The USB port is only for charging. If you want to listen in your car, you will need to connect by AUX cord. You can get any USB cables on Amazon.

Thanks, I’ll give it a shot.
