I can download the hex file to my computer but can't find root directory I use device manager to find Clip Jam E: but dragging hex file shows nothing i need the root directory I guess..Can't find folders by clicking on Jam E: Drive

The SanDisk instructions for manually installing Clip Jam firmware do not include a picture of the player's root directory.
Maybe this picture of the Clip Sport root directory will provide sufficient guidance for you?

Is there a firmware revision for the Clip Jam that disables the FM Radio like there are for older devices as mentioned here:

Here is an easy way to stop the player from displaying the Radio mode.
Settings -> System Settings -> Customize -> Radio -> Off
(You can toggle all of the Mode settings within the Customize menu)
