How can I shuffle, and repeat?

I am a field biologist trying to set two tracks (silence and a song) to shuffle and repeat indefinitely. I want to be able to have it playing for 10 or 12 hours a day (i’ll use a timer for that). It would be ideal if the tracks shuffled so they weren’t in a pattern of 1-2-1-2-.

Can you tell me how to do this? I tried turning both tracks on to repeat, and shuffle. But the Clip Jam just plays one each and then stops.

thanks!!

I tested the following advice using my Clip Sport with three mp3 audio files.

(I could not get two files to work as you described.)

FOLDER MODE

  1. Put at least three repeating / shuffling mp3 files in a specific subfolder inside the Music folder.

  2. Use the Folder Menu to select the specific subfolder.

  3. Then select one mp3 for immediate play.

  4. Then press the “Options” menu button (below the oval shaped large button).

  5. Then select Repeat -> All  AND  Shuffle -> On

MUSIC MODE

  1. Make sure all your repeating / shuffling mp3 files have the same “Album” name in the ID3 tags.

  2. Use the Music menu to select the specific “Album” name.

  3. Then select one mp3 for immediate play.

  4. Then press the “Options” menu button (below the oval shaped large button).

  5. Then select Repeat -> All  AND  Shuffle -> On

BONUS IDEA

Maybe create a short “silent” mp3 file (with the specific “Album” in the ID3 tag) to be your audio file #3 ??

OR, Maybe put two copies of each of the two mp3 files into the specific subfolder, as described above.
