PC Card Adapters

I got the 3-in-1 2BD set for Christmas along with my new phone (enV2) and I am trying to get music on it. I can save things from my phone ot the card, but when i put it in the adapter and into my laptop (Sony Vaio) it tells me I need to insert a memory stick. I tried saving things from my phone onto it and then putting it in my computer to see if that would make my computer read it, but it gave me the same message. Any suggestions?
