USB key and stopping it

Hello,

I have a 4GB Sandisk Cruzer Micro and it works well. I removed the U3 partition to gain some more space overall for the drive. There's been times where I transfer files to the USB drive and it definitely is finished copying. I go down and attempt to stop the device and it says error can't stop it right now. How long should I wait to try again? I just yanked it out and no data loss. I've done this a couple times. I prefer to stop it obviously to prevent data loss. This may be a simple issue, maybe it's just a matter of waiting.

Thanks,

Nick

Re: USB key and stopping it

It's always better to safely remove, but you should be OK if no data is being transferred and you remove your drive.
