A brief rant about board registration:
When you require stringent password configurations* of registrants,
webmasters should make folks aware of those requirements* BEFOREHAND.
Having reg-robot blithely lurk while registrants enter UNUSABLE passwords,
and THEN reject their entry, delete all information already entered, and
only THEN apprise them of mandatory "strong password" is just RUDE!
Then there is the matter of WHO requires a "brute force"-resistant password
to access a relatively open community forum (as opposed to personal banking or
commercial transaction accounts) and WHY? It's not like there's a lot of
proprietary, financial, closely-held or at-risk trade secrets involved here!
And, unless I'm missing something, virtually everything on boards is accessible
simply via registration (albeit with the password hoop-jumping as noted above).
Anyone help me better understand any of the above?
Oh - BTW, since Rules is locked (with one entry) I'm forced to clutter
an unrelated area of forum with this rant. ARRRGGH!

character, one uppercase character, one digit, and no repeated sequence of
characters of any length"
