Re: Imagemat 5 in 1 SDDR99 wont read new Sandisk 4GB photo card

I have a 5 in 1 model SDDR-99, 20-90-00162 that I have used for a while on several computers. Last week I tried to update the firmware. However it apparently was not successful as now I can't get ANYTHING to read, including Memory Sticks and 128MB SD cards.

I am trying to update it to read my 4GB CD card, I didn't want to destroy the capability it already had.

When I try to re-run the firmware program, it tells me there's no card reader attached, even though it's attached and has an SD card in it. I also tried without a card.

The computer recognizes that there is a 5 in 1 reader attached, and the button on the reader lights up, but nothing else ever happens. This happens on Macs running 10.4.11 and PCs running Windows XP Pro (both have all updates).

I sent a web form to Tech Support about this.

Thanks

the firmware update should have worked for that reader. not sure what went wrong. sandisk tech support should be able to get the reader replaced working.
