Hello,
I have ultra Sandisk Memory Card 8 GB .When I am trying to format it under linux -Ubuntu using DIsk Utility I am getting the error.
=> Are you sure you want to format the drive?
This operation concerns the drive “7.9 GB SecureeDigital/SecureDigital Drive”(SL08G)
=> Error formattig drive
An error occurred while performing an operation on “7.9 GB SecureeDigital/SecureDigital Drive” (SL08G):The operation failed.
Detals :
Error Creating partition Table:helper exited with exit code 1:Error calling fsync(2) ob /dev/mmcblk0:input/output error
I am not sure If I have damged it or what?
Also when I try to run the below command :
export DISK=/dev/mmcblk0
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=${DISK} bs=1M count=20
I get this error :

If you created or changed a DOS partition, /dev/foo7, say, then use dd(1) to zero the first 512 bytes: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/foo7 bs=512 count=1 (See fdisk(8).)

PLease assit me in resolving this.What I have done wrong .Have I deleted any partition?How can I restore my card back.I dotn care about the data right now, I just want my emmc in original condition.
