Unable to paste files to an SDHC SanDisk Card

I have a 4GB SDHC SanDisk Card that is detected and shows its files just fine on my Windows 8 computer. But when I try to past any file with any size, it displays error message: “file is too large for destination” after which the card is ejected. The card is in FAT32 format and has already some files in it (pictures). I don’t know what to do. Have you ever encountered this issue?

Any help would be appreciated.

I discovered by running the folders property that the card is read-only on my computer. How can I make it writable, cause I want to past some music to it.

Howbig are the files you are trying to copy to the card ?

A 4GB card will have around 3.8GB to 3.9GB of storage space , this maybe why it cant copy your files to the card.

Regarding read only - check the side of the card for a little plastic slider on the left, it should be pushed up , if its pushed down your computer or camera wont write files to it …
