Sandisk 8G Memory Card

I always upload my camera pics to my computer via this memorty card with no problems. Now the ONLY  thing that occurs is the sound my computer makes to tell me the card is inserted, but NOTHING else. Please Help!

Estimado Usuario

Suerte.

Dear User

1- Please, clean the pins of the card, with isopropyl (or common) alcohol. Then see if it works.

2- If does not work: try the card in other laptops, direct to it’s port-card with a good adapter ( NOT a card reader, eye).

And, if does not work, sorry, I think he’s dead…
You can return it, see if you have warranty.

But, if it works on other PCs:

3- Then, put it into your PC and analyze the following:
4- In the ‘Control Panel’/ Administrative Tools/Event Viewer: see if there is information on this item.

5- See also, in the ‘Task Manager’ , the processes which are running, and see what are the necessary and what to delete.
6- In the ‘Control Panel’ /Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Device Management Tools: see if a USB icon is crossed out with Red, or there is a Yellow question mark.

See, also, for a teaching with images, links:

Then, if is detected:
7- In ‘My Computer’ , in the icon on the card, click the right mouse button, and then click Properties /Tools/Error Checking.

Luck.

Try it first on another PC too. Just to isolate if it’s a card or the PC driver which is having the issue.

Hmm… is there an echo… (and 10 days later…)
