i’m using card reader to open my Micro SD card in Computer, bur error shows that “Insert Disk”. What am i do???

Maybe try a different card reader? What size memory card is it? If it is over 2GB, it is SDHC format. Older card readers may not work iwth it.

Likewise, if it is one of the newer 64GB cards, those are SDXC format and your card reader may not be able to handle this new format.

Memory card not deteced by mobile or computer

Hi… My Sandisk Micro SDHC (4GB) mobile memory card could not be detected by mobile or computer… Please tell me the solution.

As you can all see there is not a certain answer for this problem. Obviously the problem is on the SunDisk’s side and there is no admission for it. They manufactured something that does not function as it should (covering all the areas that it was manufactured for that is), and that is all.

They should replace all these cards but the do not want to.

Don’t buy SunDisk, it is simple as that.

@DarkMoonWolf same problem with me…did u find any solution…pls help…thanx!!

Re: Memory card not deteced by mobile or computer.

Firstly, the 32 microSD card when introduced to Windows will invariably invoke the “Do you want to format” screen. Don’t do it. Continue on without formatting and everything will be fine.

I have done some testing on the “unrecognize” issue and have come to some conclusions:

  • When used with an adapter device that actually is physically inside the device’s frame (computer or mobile, etc.) or very near to it, such as with an SD card adapter or a USB adapter, the card will become unrecognizable within a few hours.

  • When used with an adapter device that is connected via a cord where the card is physically away from the device’s interior frame, such as with an MP3 player or other USB corded device, the card will do just fine for long periods of time.

From these observations, I can only conclude that this little guy is overheating when it’s in proximity to the computer or other mobile device, and somehow shuts itself down. When this happens on a Windows device, the only thing that will fix it is to uninstall the port input device (such as the SD card reader slot) using the Device Manager, and then wait about 10 minutes for the card to cool itself. After this time, reinsert the card adapter and have Windows re-recognize it, no re-boot needed btw. You could probably do some manual cooling to the card to speed up the process, but I haven’t tried that.

Make sure that your card is not locked. Please check the status and make it unlock.

Memory card not deteced by mobile or computer,
suddenly today my memory card is not detected in my mobile and in system…what can I do?..i need all my data’s from my card. Its sandisk micro SD card/ .

RMA it you’ve obviously got one from the faulty batch, as for your data the only real option for recovery is to give it to a specialist company who’ll charge you the earth. But try sticking your card in the freezer over night that may allow you to access it and retrieve the data, bear in mind that cards do fail sometimes and if your data is important keep it backed up.

my micro sd card does not detect in any mobile or any pc

SanDisk Tech Suport/Customer Service

I had a similar issue with a memory card that my wife and I used during our trip to Africa.  During one of our safari drives, the card stopped working and was no longer recognized by the camera or computer.  As such, there wasn’t really any way to use the widely available recover software.  Stupidly, we hadn’t backed-up our photos from the first three days of our trip so we thought our photos were lost.  Luckily, I found a guy in Germany who uses a special technique to recover the files (http://recoverfab.com).  You can watch a youtube video on the technique, if interested.  I highly recommend the service as it was fast and effective.

Hi there, I solved this problem by buying a card reader that has it’s own power supply. Now I never have this problem. The power supply from a laptop or other mobile devices just isn’t sufficient and eventually my computer would stop detecting all of my CF cards. It is a drag to carry around more cables and devices, but not as much as waiting for the computer to recognize the CF or the external hard drive.

i woke up this morning to my phone telling me that my sd card had been removed but my case was still on it and the card was very much in my phone… on removing the sd card from my phone i was quite upset to find out it also no longer works on my computer. i had over 1400 pics of my baby girl and there all gone now. if anyone can help please let me know, im dying in the inside

im having the same problem with my 16 gb sd card. i bought mine 6 months ago in another city and i dont got the receipt do i need that to have it replaced for a new one does anybody know ??

Contact SanDisk directly and open an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) to get a replacement.
