Is my card genuine?

I got an amazing deal on a 64gb card and took it.

The card arrived but the package looks a bit different from what I have on other cards (I have 5 different MicroSD cards).

I suspect it is not genuine.

The card is stamped with the following on its back:

MMB3RO8BUACA-GE

XL8B20140102

Main in Taiwan

The package states Made in China...

Can anyone help me verify genuinity of this card?

Thanks

Re: Is my card genuine?

From what I read on other forums (forgive me :-) ) H2testw can verify the available capacity.
I want to verify genuinety. To be sure it is a SanDisk product and not a counterfeit. ..

Thanks for your help.

Re: Is my card genuine?

Favorite ploy amongst the scammers; use an 8GB card and hack it to appear as a 64GB one. They did the same thing with the older 32GB cards. Where did you buy this card? If it was a seller on eBay, note that this is where a good portion of these fake cards are sold to people looking to get a deal. Report them IMMEDIATELY to eBay if this was the case.

Re: Is my card genuine?

My friend who ordered the same card from the same seller and got the card a few days after I got mine - found it even more annoying...

2GB turned into a 64GB

Re: Is my card genuine?

Bummer! I hope both you and your friend reported this to eBay. They can't get rid of unscrupulous sellers like this unless they know about them. Smiley Wink
