Thanks for your suggestion. I did format the drive first and I did also try FakeFlashTest. That also reported an error (‘DEVICE HAS DUPLICATE OR BAD BLOCKS’). Interestingly I found that even FakeFlashTest took more than an hour to run on this size of card.
My initial question remains however, anyone out there run h2testw on the Sandisk 128gb cards successfully??
