I currently have the exact same problem, right down to the Lexar card, iMac and exact situation resulting in now an unreadable card (which tells me it needs to be initialised and or formatted). I’m in such a panic because 3000 wedding shoot photos were on that card. I’m curious, did you ever get your images back?
