Constant need to retry reading files on my Extreme IV cards

I have a PC with Vista 64 and read my Extreme IV cards (2 4GB and 10 8GB) with the Extreme IV firewire reader.  I am constantly needing to hit retry when downloading photos due to unexpected error form insufficient resources.  I have tons of resources, my computer screems speed and memory (quad core, 8GB memory, Vista 64, 10k Sata drives, etc...).  I don't get this error when reading the faster Hoodman 8GB cards on the same reader?  Is there a driver I need to install?  What's the deal?

Re: Constant need to retry reading files on my Extreme IV cards

Must be something wrong with these Firewire Readers under Vista 64 Have a brand new XPS Dell machine.

Using Stock Firewire Port-6pin and 4GB Flash Card from SANDISK and SANDISK Extreme Firewire Reader.

System goes into blue Screen Mode When Drive is plugged in.

Works fine all the other time.

The Box says it only supports Microsoft 2000/XP.

Not sure if the problem is from Vista 64 or the Drive itself.

If anyone ever Figures this out please post here.

Thanks Jay
