Does anyone know if the Ready Boost (Cruzer Micro) is compatible with Celeron, guide states that Pentium III is required. The properites ready boost tab states "this computer does not have the performance characteristics for use in speeding up your system."

it should not have anything to do with the processor as long as the celeron has the same performance characteristics as a pentium III. try retesting the device in the ready boot tab. also what is the part number of the device you have? it should start with sdcz. and make sure you are in a usb-2 port.

I had the same problem with Sempron processor - I logged in here to find out if anybody has a solution. When I put the cruzer in USB port, the window that opened automatically said after checking that performance is NOK...
So being here I wanted to check serial number of my cruzer and I went to the "properties". Surprisingly, here I could make use of the cruzer - I could select amout of available memory and everything...
