Just purchased 8Gb Cruzer at staples - "not U3 disk"

disk is recognized, and size is right, but no U3 software, and launcher says it is not a Sandisk U3 drive. Drive is light green in color.

Counterfit? Defective? What should I do - I really want the password protection.....

SanDisk no longer makes U3 products.  They sold the concept to MS several years ago and MS has dropped developing it.

I miss U3 also.

Thanks Ed! Is there any equivalent solution? I'm looking for password protection, not encryption.

I think a device named IronKey might work for you.  But they are expensive.
