Do I still need a pagefile?

I am running Windows Vista and 4GB Cruzer Micro, can I Just use Readyboost and dump the pagefile on my HD or do I need  both?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

Would there be any performane gain by placing the pagefile on the the flash drive?

Re: Do I still need a pagefile?

Moving your page file to your usb drive would be a terrible idea.  The whole point of the ready boost in vista is to make accessing small files that are commonly used really fast.  It's basically a page file for a page file.  Hard drives have a lot higher access and through put rate for sequencial data, but are terrible when it comes to small "random" bits of data.  Flash drives are a lot better for the small stuff.  Hence, the readyboost to speed up.

I don't even know if that would be an option to move it to the drive.  Your system would probably crash if your drive were disconnected prior to windows shutting down.
