It’s been a long time since I’ve had to do it, so my memory might be wrong, but if you press the F8 key when booting up, doesn’t it give you bootable options where you can select the flash drive to boot from?

No, it’s F2.

Follow below steps to change the boot order:

  1. Restart the computer and tap F2 on Dell logo.
  2. Under” BOOT” Option ensure Boot list option is set to “Legacy”.
  3. Now scroll down to 1st Boot Priority and change it to CD/DVD/CD-RW and 2nd Boot priority to Hard drive.
  4. Hit F10 to “Save” the settings and then Exit.
