Strange, I copy/pasted that link directly from the address bar.

…but now I remember the same thing happened the first time I clicked on the link at iLounge. Fortunately, if you click on the (seemingly identical) link on the error page, it’ll take you to the site.

Great… Got it now…

Thanks again…

Coldplay is giving away their new live album, “LeftRightLeftRightLeft”.

I don’t know how long the free download will last, so if you want it, don’t delay.

Oh, it’s nine MP3 tracks, encoded at 192kbps CBR, btw.

Another free album, “Dust” by The Benjy Davis Project, courtesy of Amazon. I haven’t heard of this artist/group before, myself. But hey, if you don’t like it, it’s not like it cost you anything…

This was featured in their weekly Free music e-mail. I DL’d it but havent had a chance to listen to it yet.

For all you Pink Floyd fans, there’s http://braindamage.libsyn.com/ … I haven’t yet found any indication that the band disapproves of this website, but if someone does, please let me know and I’ll clear this post.

Make sure to check out the links under the “Archive” section, on the right of the webpage.

You are not Stealing Records

I found a lot of good music thanks to this thread. In my search to find more free music I found a couple sites if your are into rap.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_ex_n_1?rh=n%3A163856011&bbn=163856011&ie=UTF8&qid=1267587770 - Just free mp3s Amazon is giving away

http://www.datpiff.com/ - Free Mixtapes. Suggestions: Beastie Boys and Run DMC, Beastie Boys vs Linkin Park, anything from The Roots, and Instant Legend and Beastie Boys.

http://beastiemixes.com/index.php - Free community Beastie Boy Mixes.

Itunes - Chiddy Bang is giving away the song The Opposites of Adults (Kids). I has a very oldschool feel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIhDKSWrDcg

http://teamteamwork.tumblr.com/ - Created three video game/rap mash ups, Vinyl Fantasy 7, Ocarina of Rhyme, and The Good-ass Remixes. Some tracks are good and  some are not.

I decided to take advantage of the emusic free mp3 trial for sansa users. Right now they are giving those that enter the sansa url 50 free credits for a 14 day trial. I did it and got about three full albums and a handful of songs from fourth. I cancelled my subscription as soon as I was done downloading the files, although they try to keep you by giving you a free month it if you stay. I was tempted to create a second account to get a couple more albums, but decided against it. You do need a credit, debit, or paypal account to sign up though.

eMusic;

Depending on how e-music is operating these days those songs may stop working in about 30 days we will just have to see.

According to the FAQs you keep the music you downloaded even if you cancel the service. The service itself is okay, but they are missing alot of albums I would have wanted.

Yep, eMusic’s songs don’t contain DRM, they won’t expire.

Haven’t tried eMusic in a while, but if I remember correctly, they had a good amount of Creedence Clearwater Revival … if you’re a CCR fan.
