Admin Password Required to transfer files from vault to another USB

I am having problems with my MAC and the SanDisk secure vault.  When I want to transfer a file out of my vault to another flash drive it prompts me to enter my MAC admin password.

I can transfer from the vault to the desktop with no problem.

I can transfer from the vault to another flash drive on my PC with no problem.

I am not the admin user on my MAC at work and it is problematic having to transfer the data to my desktop and then move it onto another flash drive.

Please help.

   Hi Tkhigdon1,

Dear member of SanDisk Community, welcome.

Mmm… In first, seems “a policy of restriction”, they have put into the Mac.

Try in another Mac…

If you can… You have to talk to the Administrator…

Luck, and then you tell us, what happened, please.

Regards, Alfred.                                                             (Google translated)

I think you need to be logged in as admin here in order for you to transfer files.

Hello,

This issue seems to be Mac related because in order to copy the files from one drive to another they need to be stored to the mac temporarily to duplicate them. In that case if you dont have write permissions to the mac you will not be able to copy the files there.

I agree. I think this is just a setting on a MAC profile that doesn’t let you transfer files from flash drive to flash drive.
